- Bowed the First Varsity 4+ to victory at the Big 12 Conference Championship, winning with a time of 6:50.306.
- Bowed the Second Varsity 4+ in the Longhorn Invite, placing second with a time of 7:15.355.
- Earned Big 12 Conference Boat of the Week honors on April 17 after a dominating performance against No. 9 Michigan.
- Bowed the Second Varsity 8+ to victory (6:22.33) at No. 9 Michigan.
- Rowed at seven-seat in the Second Varsity 8+ at the 2024 San Diego Crew Classic, finishing first in heats (6:43.553) and the final (6:46.080) to win the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)
- Bowed the First Varsity 4+ to a national title at the NCAA Championship, winning in heats (7:25.980), the A/B semifinals (7:07.819) and the Grand Final (7:03.174).
- Bowed the First Varsity 4+ to victory (6:54.102) at the Big 12 Championships.
- Stroked the First Varsity 4+ to victory (7:12.70) at No. 10 Virginia.
- Stroked the First Varsity 4+ to a second-place result (7:22.60) in Princeton, N.J. behind No. 4 Princeton and ahead of No. 3 Yale.
- Stroked the First Varsity 4+ to a win (7:09.706) over No. 11 Michigan on Lady Bird Lake.
- Stroked the Four at the 2023 San Diego Crew Classic, finishing first in heats (7:30.464) and the final (7:24.910) to win the Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup.
AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
- Rowed at six-seat in the Third Varsity 8+ victory (6:54.670) at the Big 12 Championship.
- Rowed at two-seat in the Third Varsity 8+ A victory (6:29.593) at the Longhorn Invite.
- Rowed at three-seat in the Second Varsity 4+ victory over No. 4 Princeton and No. 16 Rutgers, winning with a time of 7:21.5 at Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
Before Texas
Was a member of the USRowing U19 team at the 2019 CanAmMex … a 2020 invitee to the USRowing U19 Camp … rowed for Green Lake Crew in Seattle, Wash. … was the Green Lake Crew team captain during her senior year of high school … took gold at Women’s Henley in 2018 … medaled in the W8+ at the 2018 Head of the Charles … finished fifth in the W8+ at the 2018 youth nationals … finished sixth at the 2019 youth nationals.
Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because the team environment is amazing and everyone is truly 100% committed to each other and getting faster.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I started because I was terrible at coordination sports but wanted to be athletic and found rowing. I love that your biggest competitors are your best friends and I love having the chance to push myself to the limit.”
Personal
- Parents are Kathryn and Geoff Garrison
- Has one older sister, Kate, and a younger brother, Carter
- Began rowing at the age of 13
- Both of her parents sailed for Stanford, while her father also played hockey for the Cardinal
- Majoring in environmental studies
- Enjoys cooking and baking and being in the outdoors, especially hiking and camping in the Cascades near Seattle
