Why Texas?
“I saw how the team dynamic worked and I left the practice I witnessed with butterflies in my stomach. It's amazing how down-to-earth these girls are and that each and every practice they work for each other. That's what I wanted: a sisterhood.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I went to a camp one summer and knew from the first stroke that this was the sport for me. The thing I love most about rowing is that it is the ultimate team sport. No one outshines the other. Everything is in unison and any break in the rhythm messes up the whole boat.”
