The Longhorns picked up the series win over the Horned Frogs and will play at Kansas next weekend.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas Baseball dropped the series finale to TCU, 15-7, on Monday afternoon at Lupton Stadium.

The Longhorns (30-16, 10-8) will head on the road for the second-consecutive weekend, traveling to Kansas for a three-game series May 5-7.

Tanner Witt made his season debut after recovering from season-ending surgery more than a year ago. He threw 23 pitches in his debut and was charged with three runs on two hits.

The Longhorns scored a couple runs in the top of the first on a two-run homer by Garret Guillemette to take a 2-0 lead.

TCU responded with a three-run bottom of the first to take a 3-2 lead and never looked back. The Horned Frogs scored three more in the third on a three-run homer and continued to pour it on with a seven-run fourth inning to make the score 13-2.

Texas scored two runs in the top of the fifth on an Eric Kennedy solo homer and an RBI single by Peyton Powell. TCU answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to make the lead 15-4.

The Longhorns plated two more runs in the sixth on RBI singles by Tanner Carlson and Jack O'Dowd and another run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Jalin Flores.
