AS A JUNIOR (2018)
Made 18 appearances in relief on the season…picked up his third save of the season on March 17 vs. Kansas, striking out three and allowing just one walk in 2.0 innings pitched…earned his second save of the year on March 3 vs. Northwestern in 0.2 innings of work…got the win on Feb 17 vs. Louisiana after Austin Todd hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth…picked up his first save of the season on Feb 16 vs. Louisiana…named to the 2018 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award preseason watch list…named an NCBWA preseason All-America second team selection.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017)
Named to the mid-season watch list for the NCBWA’s Stopper of the Year Award…made a team-high 37 relief appearances for Texas on the year…his 37 appearances ranked first in the Big 12 Conference and fourth in Division-I…notched 12 saves on the year, the most for a Longhorn since Corey Knebel’s 19 in 2011…finished with a 1.89 ERA and a .186 opponent batting average…walked just 14 and struck out 40 in 52.1 innings on the year…tossed a season-high 3.0 IP on May 28 vs. Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship game… struck out a career-high 5 on April 28 at Oklahoma State…did not allow a run in 17 of his first 18 appearances on the year.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016)
Finished his freshman season with a 3-1 record and a 3.31 ERA (13-ER, 35.1-IP) … prior to his final outing of the season on May 28 vs. TCU, had allowed just 10 total earned runs … in that final outing, allowed a season-high six hits and three runs … from March 22 to May 19, 13 of his 14 appearances were scoreless … his only blemish in those 14 outings was on April 15 vs. Kansas (game one) when he allowed three earned runs in two-thirds of an inning … in eight outings from April 19 to May 19, allowed just one unearned run over 17.2 innings … in that span, he’d given up just six hits and one walk while striking out 11 … tossed three perfect innings in his final regular season outing on May 19 vs. Baylor … struck out three in two shutout innings of relief on May 17 vs. Texas State … did not allow an earned run in three innings pitched during the three-game set at West Virginia from May 7-9 … threw a scoreless inning of relief to help secure the combined shutout on May 3 vs. Prairie View A&M … allowed just one hit in 1.2 innings on May 1 vs. Oklahoma State … struck out three and allowed just two baserunners over three innings on April 26 vs. Texas State … earned his first collegiate win with two perfect innings on April 19 vs. UT Rio Grande Valley … tossed 6.2 scoreless innings in five appearances from March 22 to April 12 … threw 2.2 scoreless innings vs. California on March 4 … made his first career appearance on February 20 vs. UNLV, throwing one inning and striking out one in the team’s 11-2 win.
HIGH SCHOOL
A starting pitcher in his final two seasons, he also saw time at second and third base … first team all-district and Montgomery County Pitcher of the Year as a junior when he had a 1.30 ERA, including 0.70 in district play … member of the Texas Rangers Area Code Team and MVP pitcher for Team Texas at the 2014 Sunbelt Classic … a 2013 and 2014 Perfect Game Underclass High Honorable Mention All-American … also played football his freshman and sophomore seasons … a member of the honor roll all three years of high school.

Son of Brad and Sarah … has two brothers, Cooper and Walker … his dad played football at Oklahoma State.
