AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2017)
Named an ABCA/Rawlings Collegiate Second Baseman Gold Glove Award finalist…made just two errors in 268 chances, good for a .993 fielding percentage on the year…his errors bookended the season, as he made one on his first chance of the year and did not make another until the Big 12 Conference Baseball Championship, going a span of 235 chances without one…helped turn 47 of the team's 65 double plays, the fourth-most double plays for any team in the nation…finished with 16 multi-hit games on the year…was tied for second on the team with seven homers…in the Longhorns' nine postseason games, finished 13-for-35 and reached base safely in all but one game…hit two homers at Long Beach State during the NCAA Regional (June 3), his second two-run homer game of the season…collected a season-high three hits vs. Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Baseball Championship (May 28)…in the April 28 doubleheader at Oklahoma State, went 3-for-7 with two homers and seven RBI…had three straight two-hit games from March 19-22…also collected three-straight two-hit games from March 7-10…hit his first home run of the year on Feb 19 vs. Rice in the season-opening series.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2016)
Named shortstop on the Big 12 Baseball Championship All-Tournament team after hitting .600 (9-for-15) with three doubles, one triple and four RBI to go along with four walks … he slugged at a .933 clip and finished with a .650 OBP in the tournament … earned 2016 Academic All-Big 12 Baseball honors … drove in the game winning run of a 7-6 victory over Baylor (May 21) with a single up the middle … hit 2-for-4 against UT Rio Grande Valley (April 19) with a double and his second triple of the season … went 2-for-4 against Lamar University … made his first season appearance in the designated hitter spot in the TCU series (March 24-26) … crossed home plate three times while adding his sixth double of the year in a three-game series against Tulane (March 18-20) … had two RBIs in the lone game between the Longhorns and Texas A&M … hit his second home run of the season and the fourth of his career in the first, and only, Texas win of a three-game series against UCLA (March 11) … was one home run short of hitting for the cycle in the final game of the four-game series against California (March 6) … tied his career high in hits for the second time this season while going 3-for-5 and crossing home plate three times (career high) in that game against the Bears … got his second multi-RBI game of the season after batting in three runs to help beat Texas State in extra innings (March 1) … had a career high in single game RBIs (4) on the way to going 2-for-3 and hitting his first home run of the year in a Longhorn victory over Stanford (Feb. 27) … stole the first base of his career in that series against the Cardinal (Feb. 26) … went 3-for-5 and scored twice in a Saturday game win against UNLV (Feb. 20)
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015)
Named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team … tied for third on the team with nine doubles and was third on the squad in walks (32)… tied for second on the team with 15 multi-hit games during the season … earned All-Tournament third base honors after having three hits in the four games including a double in the Big 12 Tournament May 20-24 … hit .275 (19-for-69) with a double, a triple, a home run, eight runs scored, six RBIs and 12 walks over 20 Big 12 games … hit his second career home run on April 25 at TCU (game one) and finished the series (April 25 & 26) 4-for-10 (.400) with two runs scored, two RBIs and three walks … launched his first-career home run April 21 against Texas State, a two-run shot into the bullpen in right field … also had an RBI walk in the game to give him a career-high three RBIs … hit .571 (4-for-7) with a triple, a run scored, an RBI and a walk against Oklahoma (April 10-12) … hit .500 (4-for-8) in the Kansas State series (March 21-22) with a double, two walks, a hit by pitch, an RBI and two runs scored … was 2-for-2 with a two walks, a double and a run scored vs. Kansas State in game one of the doubleheader on March 21 … the run scored came after smacking a leadoff double in the bottom of the eighth inning to spark a come from behind 5-3 victory … mashed two doubles, drove in two runs and scored twice vs. Incarnate Word on March 10 … went 3-for-5 with a double, run scored and two RBIs, including a walk-off RBI single, in a 5-4 win over UTPA (Feb. 25) … hit .400 (6-for-15) for the series vs. Minnesota (Feb. 20-22) with four runs scored, three RBIs, three doubles and two walks … was 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and two doubles vs. Minnesota on February 21 (game two) … went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs against Minnesota on February 20 … had a base hit, two walks and two runs scored against UTSA on February 17 … was nominated for Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for his 5-for-16 performance against Rice during the opening weekend of the 2015 season (Feb. 13-15) … recorded a double, two runs scored, two RBIs and one walk, while playing excellent defense at both third base and shortstop in the four-game set … went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs in first game of a doubleheader vs. Rice on February 14 … was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a walk in his college debut against Rice on February 13.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
Suffered a wrist injury that caused him to miss the season … earned a medical redshirt … named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2013 fall semester and 2014 spring semester.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year varsity letter winner as a shortstop for coach Greg Harvey at Rockwall-Heath High School in Rockwall, Texas … was a 2013 Rawlings All-American … named a THSBCA All-Star (2013) and All-State shortstop twice (2012, 2013)… garnered District 12-5A MVP honors his senior season … won the 2012 Texas 4A State Championship and was named to the All-Tournament team … selected as a member of the Texas Rangers Area Code Team in 2012 … batted .410 for his career with 21 home runs … was an academic scholar his junior and senior years … served on the superintendent’s student advisory council his junior and senior years.
