· Represented Texas at two events before redshirting the remainder of the year.
· Captured fifth place in the 5000m (15:29.70) at the Leonard Hill Memorial.
· Finished 17th in the 3000 meter run in 8:56.81 at the NYC Gotham Cup.
Cross Country (Freshman)
· One of two freshmen runners to finish in the top three for UT at the Willamette Invitational, running the 8K course in 25:53.
· First freshman harrier to cross the line at the Texas Invitational, placing 14th overall in 20:01.
Prior to Texas
· Won a state title in the 3,200m in 2005 and district titles in the 1,600m and 3,200m in 2006 at Monterey High School ... honor roll graduate.
· Placed first in the 3,000m at the Arkansas Indoor Invitational with a time of 8:46.45.
Personal
Born on March 9, 1988 in Lubbock, Texas as the youngest out of five children ... son of Kim and Clifford Johnson ... has played soccer since the age of four ... education major ... made the Spring 2007 Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
