REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2017)
Returned from 2016 ACL surgery to start 19 of 21 matches played up top, playing 1,318 total minutes with a goal, three assists and 32 total shots (16 on frame) ... Delivered a gorgeous cross from the right wing to the far post for an assist on Katie Glenn’s 97th minute “golden goal” to beat Baylor (Oct. 20) in Waco, 1-0 (OT) ... Scored her first goal of the season at the 37:45 mark to grant UT a lead in an eventual 2-1 loss at Kansas (Oct. 13) ... Played one of her best matches in a Texas uniform while coming off the bench during the 1-0 upset of No. 5 West Virginia (Sept. 24), pestering the Mountaineers to launch a career-high six shots, three on frame, over 55 minutes ... Fired two shots on goal while playing 93 minutes during the 3-2 (OT) win over Northeastern (Sept. 10) ... Picked up an assist on Cyera Hintzen’s match-winning goal at 81:48 of the 1-0 victory at North Texas (Aug. 27) ... Fired one shot on goal in 32 minutes as a starter during the 2-0 blanking of Western Kentucky (Aug. 20) ... Played 41 minutes and was credited with an assist on Haley Berg’s goal just 25 seconds into the 2-1 season-opening victory over Rice (Aug. 18).
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2016)
Suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee just 22 minutes into the season-opening, 1-0 loss to Seattle (Aug. 19) and missed the remainder of the 2016 campaign...Applied for a medical hardship to restore her sophomore eligibility.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015)
Big 12 Conference All-Freshman Team ... Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week (Oct. 19) ... First-Team Academic All-Big 12 ... Selected to the Charleston Nike Classic All-Tournament Team ... Started 17 of 18 matches and was on the pitch for 1450 of 1720 possible minutes … Completed her redshirt freshman campaign second on the team in points with 10 on three goals (tied for second) and four assists (tied for first) ... Assisted on Kayra Dollas’ 76th minute goal during the 2-1 Big 12 Championship quarterfinal loss to Kansas (Nov. 4) ... Registered a point for the fifth time in her last six matches with an assist on Alexa Adams’ goal in the 3-0 rout of Montana (Oct. 30) ... Scored her third goal of the season late (85:07) in the 2-1 loss to Baylor (Oct. 25) ... Was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week on Oct. 19 after scoring the equalizer on a running volley to tie No. 17 Texas Tech (Oct. 16) in a match Texas went on to win, 2-1 (2OT) ... Managed her first two career assists with one each in victories over both Iowa State (Oct. 9) and TCU (Oct. 11) ... Threatened the Little Rock goal constantly by launching a career-best eight shots (three on goal) in the 0-0 (2OT) tie (Sept. 20) … Made her first career goal count by registering the match-winner off a running volley from five yards out at 70:40 to beat Abilene Christian, 2-1 (Sept. 13) … Fired our shots, including one that hit the post, in the 1-1 (2OT) tie against Oregon State (Sept. 4) … Registered another shot on goal in 100 minutes as a starter during the 0-0 (2OT) dead-lock against #18 Ohio State (Aug. 30) … Proved dangerous up top on several occasions during the 2-0 loss to No. 5 North Carolina (Aug. 28), while being credited with one shot … Forced a tough save right out of the halftime break as part of her 59 minutes of playing time as a starter up top in the 1-0 victory over Miami (FL) on Aug. 23.
FRESHMAN (2014)
Did not see playing time in 2014 because of injury.
CLUB
Played club soccer for Legends FC under coach Rick Young … Was very active in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) with multiple invites (2012, 2014) to the G96 ODP Region IV Pool … As part of the Legends FC G96 Cal South ODP State Team, Flores helped lead her squad to 2011 & 2012 Region IV Championships and to a 2012 Girls Under-15 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL
Right before heading to Texas, Flores suffered a torn ACL and required surgery, including a meniscal root repair, necessitating a medical redshirt season in 2014 … Was a three-year soccer letter winner for head coach Lynsee Bock and lettered in cross country/track for head coach Lonny Carr as a freshman … Was named first team All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and first-team All-Southern Section-Palomares during her freshman (2011) and sophomore (2012) campaigns, while earning a second team all-league nod as a junior (2013).
PERSONAL
Born on Aug. 12, 1996, to parents Michael and Jennifer Flores …Has a brother Nick and a sister Julia ... Earned an overall high school cumulative GPA of 4.0+ award in 2014 for her work in the classroom … Was both a three-time high school and CIF scholar-athlete … Is pre-med at Texas with a major in English and hopes to attend medical school back in California to become an orthopedic surgeon … Chose Texas over high-profile programs USC, Duke and Pepperdine … Started playing soccer at four years old when her dad was the coach of her AYSO team.
