Suffered a knee injury back in the spring and will not play during the 2017 season.
JUNIOR (2016)
Went 1-0-0 in her only action during the 2016 campaign ... Earned her first Texas career start, victory and shutout during the 7-0 rout of Sam Houston State (Sept. 2), making one save on the only shot she faced in 90 minutes.
AT KENTUCKY
A goalkeeper transfer from the University of Kentucky, Braun earned a slew of accolades from a standout 2014 freshman campaign with the Wildcats (redshirted during the 2015 season) … The Colleyville, Texas, native was named to the Southeastern Conference’s 2014 All-Freshman Team after leading the league in goals-against-average and save percentage … She managed a streak of 387 consecutive scoreless minutes, spanning five matches, and also registered a streak of five consecutive shutouts in SEC play … Braun picked up a pair of honors as the National Defensive Player of the Week (10/14 & 10/27/14), was chosen as the league’s Defensive Player of the Week (10/13/14) and reaped two SEC Freshman of the Week nods (9/7 & 10/27/14) … Along the way she posted high-profile shutout victories over Louisville, No. 24 South Carolina and No. 5 Florida … Was tabbed to the Dean’s List in 2014-15 at Kentucky.
CLUB
With her club team the Dallas Texans Red, Braun was a captain at the 2013 and 2014 ECNL National Training Camps, was named the 2012 Puma Showcase Golden Glove recipient, participated in the 2012 ODP National Training Camp and was part of international trips to Germany and Costa Rica.
HIGH SCHOOL
At Grapevine H.S., she helped lead her squad to a pair of district and area titles while twice earning All-District 6-5A accolades … Off the field, she was a member of the National Honor Society and the President’s National Honor Society.

Born on March 19, 1996 … Parents are Bob and Shannon Braun … Has a brother, Jackson … Uncle Chip and Aunt Joanna Gaines host the popular show Fixer Upper on Home & Garden Television (HGTV) … Comes from an athletic background as her father played football and hockey at the U.S. Naval Academy (1989-93), while her grandfather Bob Gaines was a member of the football team at the University of New Mexico from 1968-72 …Performed over 300 hours of community service as a member of the Ambassador’s Club from 2010-14 … Chose to transfer to Texas over Baylor, San Diego State, DePaul and Dayton.
