Played nine years of club soccer for the Dallas Texans ECNL and coach Sean Bubb … Her club team won the North Texas State Cup championship in 2009 and 2010 and the Disney Junior Soccer Showcase title in January of 2011 … Murphy was a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) state team.

Three-year starter at Plano West High School for head coach Carley Phillips (Allie Rogosheske coached the team in 2014) … Murphy focused on select soccer and did not play for her high school during her junior season … Her high school team won the Texas Class 5A state championship as a sophomore (2012) and was state runner-up in 2014 … She was selected to the 2014 NSCAA Girls High School All-Region Winter Team and as one of VYPE’s DFW Girls Player to Watch in 2014 … Plano West finished the 2012 season as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation by ESPN … Chosen as a first team District 10-5A selection during her freshman, sophomore and senior campaigns and first team all-region in 2014.
PERSONAL
Born on March 21, 1996, to parents Mark and Laura Murphy …Graduated from Plano West H.S. with Graduated Distinguished Achievement in 2014 … Her grandfather is Dan Reeves, legendary former head coach of the National Football League’s (NFL) Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos and New York Giants … Reeves also played football for the Dallas Cowboys and the University of South Carolina … She lists Reeves as the person in athletics that most inspired her because of the perfect example he set of using hard work to be successful while staying humble … Her father Mark played football for Baylor University … Murphy chose Texas over programs at Florida, Arkansas, Baylor and Oklahoma.
