AS A SENIOR (2019)
Named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team...pitched 17 times and made two starts as a senior...finished the season with a 2.45 ERA and a 2-2 record with two saves...struck out 24 batters with only eight walks in 33 innings pitched...in final outing of career, pitched two shutout innings with four strikeouts against Oklahoma on May 16...logged three scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts to earn the save against West Virginia April 28...got the start on April 16 against Lamar and allowed no earned runs over five innings to got the win...had three strikeouts over three innings during his first win of the season against Rice on April 9...got his first save of the season against Xavier on March 30...made first start fo the year against Sam Houston State on Feb. 26 and pitched four innings, allowing two runs on four hits with four strikeouts...first appearance of the season was against Louisiana on Feb. 17.
AS A JUNIOR (2018)
Finished with a 4-1 record and a 3.05 ERA in 21 games (four starts) on the mound for Texas…he struck out 34 batters in 28.1 innings of work…in three NCAA tournament games, went 1-0, allowing just one run on six hits and ibe walk over three games and 9.0 innings, striking out nine…tossed 1.0 inning of work in the College World Series, allowing just one hit on June 17 vs. Arkansas…got the start and the win in the decisive game three of the NCAA Super Regional and spun a gem, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with striking out three in 5.0 innings to send Texas back to the College World Series…closed out game one of the NCAA Regional against Texas Southern, allowing just one hit and no walks over three innings, striking out a career-high six…started game one of the Big 12 Conference tournament and was tabbed with the loss…made his second career start on May 15 vs. Texas State and went 4.0 strong innings before a lightning delay…it was the first time his parents (from Italy) got the chance to see him pitch in person in college…went 4.0 innings in relief against UTRGV and struck out five…picked up his first career win on March 20 vs. Sam Houston State…entered in relief and threw 1.1 hitless innings…made his first career start on March 4 vs. Northwestern…went 4.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits and four walks while striking out two…made his first career appearance on Feb 21 vs. Lamar and went two innings, allowing a home run…named to the Fall and Spring Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Rolls.

Son of Adele Comino and Roberto Bocchi…is the first Italian-born student-athlete to play baseball at Texas…threw a 9-inning shutout for Team Italy in its win over the Czech Republic at the 2013 Under-18 World Cup…played in the 2008 Little League World Series representing the Italian squad (Emilia Little League)…Emilia was the country’s first native team to qualify for Williamsport.
