AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2016)
Earned Academic All-Big 12 Baseball first team honors … finished the season with a 3.00 ERA in 14 appearances … allowed three earned runs on May 20 vs. Baylor, the most he’d allowed all season … with the exception of that outing, compiled a 1.56 ERA (3-ER, 17.1-IP) in 13 outings … did not allow an earned run in five straight outings from April 26 to May 17, a span of six innings … did not allow an earned run until his fifth outing, giving up one earned run in 1.2 innings vs. Kansas on April 15 … made his first career appearance as a Longhorn on February 25 vs. Stanford … he faced a single batter and got the out.

Named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall 2014 semester … sat out the season due to transfer rules …
AS A FRESHMAN (2014 AT LOUISIANA TECH)
Made 21 appearances out of the bullpen for the Bulldogs and posted the second lowest earned run average on the staff with a 2.59 ERA … Had a 1-1 record on the season in 41.2 innings, while allowing 35 hits, 17 runs, 12 earned runs, 14 walks and 14 strikeouts … held opposing hitters to a .246 batting average with five doubles and two home runs … made his first collegiate appearance on the mound on Feb. 14 versus Southeastern Louisiana as the freshman pitched 0.2 innings of relief and did not allow a hit in the outing … earned his first career victory on March 5 as he pitched 4.0 innings of no-hit baseball out of the bullpen to help lead the Bulldogs to a 6-4 win over McNeese State … pitched a season-high 6.2 innings on May 9 versus Charlotte, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out one … struck out a season-high three batters in 1.2 innings of relief at No. 14-ranked Rice … named to the Conference USA Commissioners' Honor Roll for the 2013-14 academic year.

Earned letters as a two-sport athlete in baseball and basketball at Tomball HS on the outskirts of Houston … named second team all-district for 5A as a pitcher in his junior season … as a senior, he was named first team all-district as a pitcher and first team all-state as an infielder by the Texas Sports Writers Association … helped lead his team to the 2012 Regional Semifinals followed up by a 2013 Texas State Championship title in his senior season … played under coaches Doug Rush and Tim Dyson … member of the National Honor Society at Tomball.
