AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2016)
Started four in a row for the Longhorns at the DH position in games against Oklahoma, Texas A&M-CC, and Kansas State (April 3-9) … went 1-for-4 with a walk, on his way to getting his first career RBI and scoring his third run of the season in a March 22 victory vs. UTSA … made his first career appearance, picking up his first career hit in his first at-bat in the opener of a four-game series on February 25 vs. Stanford.

Son of David Denny and Kary Barrios … named after his grandfater Walter, his full name is Walter Kaleb Denny … has two sisters, Micah and Kassie, a step sister, Kelcy, and a step brother, Cameron … his dad played third base and left field at UT from 1982-85 and his grandfather, Ed Denny, played baseball at Sam Houston State from 1956-60 … hasn't declared a major but is interested in International Relations and Global Studies.
