HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year starter for coach Steve Griffith at Cypress-Mauriceville High School in Orange, Texas … played several positions, including pitcher, first base, third base, shortstop and outfield … for his career, posted a .390 batting average with a 2.74 ERA … was named to the first team All-District and Orange Leader Offensive MVP his senior season … was also The Record Offensive MVP and a member of the Beaumont Enterprise All Super Gold Team his senior season … a two-time member of the Academic All-District team, as well as a two-year member of the National Honors Society … frequent volunteer for the Salvation Army.
PERSONAL
Son of Bobby and Susan Swan … father, Bobby, played baseball at Sam Houston State … five family members have attended UT in the past including his mother and grandmother … hasn't declared a major but is interested in pre-pharmacy.
