AS A SOPHOMORE (2019)
Pitched seven times in relief, logging eight total innings…pitched two innings at Stanford and did not allow an earned run…first appearance was at Louisiana on Feb. 16 where he recorded his first save of the season after pitching 2.1 innings and striking out a season-high four batters.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018)
Finished with a 4.78 ERA and a 3-2 record in 12 games (seven starts)…allowed two runs on one hit and one hit batter on May 1 vs. Texas State…allowed one run on two hits and a walk while fanning four over 3.2 innings on April 24 vs. Houston…tossed two shutout innings on April 18 vs. Texas Southern…allowed four hits and a walk but struck out two…lasted just one-third of an inning on April 10 at Texas A&M…pitched 2.0 innings in relief on April 2 at Whataburger Field vs. Texas A&M - Corpus Christi…allowed a three-run homer on March 30 at K-State in 2.0 innings of work…went 3.0 innings on March 20 vs. No. 25 Sam Houston State, allowing one run but walking four and striking out five…last just 3.0 innings on March 13 vs. Arkansas…went out for the 4th but allowed the first four batters to reach before he was relieved…exited after 4.0 innings on 3/8 vs. Stanford…struck out a career-best five…picked up his first career win on Feb 28 with 5.1 one-hit innings against UTSA…made his collegiate debut on Feb 21 vs. Lamar…went 3.1 innings, allowing just one run in the first inning…went 6.0 innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk to go along with six strikeouts in game three of the Fall World Series.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played three seasons of varsity at Churchill High School in San Antonio…racked up 105 strikeouts and a 9-1 record as a senior…named second team All-State, All-Area, and the unanimous first team All-District Pitcher and Team MVP…went 6-1 with a 1.04 ERA as a junior…named unanimous first team All-District and Team MVP that season.
PERSONAL
Parents are Brian and Anna O’Donnell…has one sister, Dayna…built his own pitcher’s mound in his backyard when he was 12.
