AS A JUNIOR (2019)
Only Texas player to start every game during the 2019 season...Started 54 games at third base during junior season and batted .272 with 32 RBI and 24 runs scored...hit 11 doubles and four homers...finished the season with 30 walks and 30 strikeouts…picked up All-Big 12 honorable mention recognition...went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer in the season finale against Oklahoma on May 17...had a two-run double against Incarnate Word on May 14...went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and a two-run home run at Kansas on May 5...drove in three runs and went 2-for-5 with a double against West Virginia on April 27...hit a grand slam at Texas State on April 23…went 3-for-4 with a run against Oklahoma State on April 19…had two hits including a double against Kansas State on April 14…went 2-for-4 during the win against Xavier on March 29…went 2-for-3 with a season-high two RBI against TCU on March 24…went 3-for-3 with two runs against Texas Southern on March 12…went 3-for-4 with one RBI and a double against LSU on March 3…went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs, and a double against UTSA…had a six-game hit streak from Feb. 15 to Feb. 23....during that span he hit his first home run on Feb. 16 against Louisiana and then went 2-for-4 with a double twice, once against Rice on Feb. 19 and again on Feb. 23 against Purdue…first hit of the season was on Feb. 15 against Louisiana.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018)
Finished the season with a .247/.351/.370 line to go along with four homers and 37 RBI, tied for third-most on the team…in the NCAA Super Regional, hit .300 (3-for-10) with two doubles and three RBI…went 4-for-5 with with four RBI and two doubles on April 27 at West Virginia…hit his fourth homer of the year on April 22 vs. New Orleans…recorded back-to-back two-hit games on March 24-25 vs. Oklahoma State…went 3-for-4 with three two-out RBI on March 16 vs. Kansas…homered on March 3 and 4 vs. Northwestern, his first two homers of the season…drove in three in the March 4 game…went 2-for-4 with two RBI on Feb 25 at LSU…made his first career start on opening night on Feb 16 vs. Louisiana…named the Fall World Series MVP after hitting .462 (6-for-13), with three doubles, a homer, and six RBI in the three-game series.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017)
Played in 60 games with 57 starts in his first season on the Forty Acres…earned an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention nod…hit .212 with 5 homers and 34 RBI on the year while playing third base for the Longhorns…on June 3 at Long Beach State during the NCAA regional, made one of the best plays of the season when he barehanded a relay throw from left field and gunned down the potential game-winning run at the plate to preserve the tie…the Longhorns would go on to win the game and advance to the regional final…on May 21 vs. West Virginia, went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI after pinch-hitting…in the three-game set at Kansas, homered from both sides of the plate, once in game one and once in game three of the series…hit his first career homer on Feb 26 vs. UCONN…collected his first collegiate start and hit in the season opener on Feb 17 vs. Rice.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played his final three seasons at Oauchita Christian in Monroe, La., after playing his freshman season at Clements HS in Sugar Land, Texas…named a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American…prior to the 2016 draft, ranked the No. 24 player in Louisiana by Baseball America.
PERSONAL
Son of Pamela and Shane Reynolds…father, Shane, played baseball at The University of Texas in 1989 and, after he was drafted in the third round of the 1989 MLB draft, went on to play 13 years in the big leagues…Ryan has one sister, Lauren, who graduated from UT in 2017.
