CAREER
Finished his Longhorns career with a 14-9 record and a 3.47 ERA (66-ER, 171.1-IP) … also collected four saves in his career … picked up second team all-conference honors in his final season at Texas.
AS A SENIOR (2016)
Named an All-Big 12 Conference second team selection after going 8-4 with a 3.74 ERA in a career-high 86.2 innings pitched … also notched a career-high 78 strikeouts in 16 appearances (15 starts) and finished with a 4.58 strikeout-to-walk ratio … struck out two and stranded three baserunners in a three-inning spot start against Baylor (May 20) … continued his win streak (6), going six innings in a Saturday start at Texas Tech on April 23 … earned his fifth straight win and the second complete game of his career (7.0 IP) while allowing two runs against Kansas (April 16) that ended early on a run-rule … went seven innings while allowing four earned runs did not walk a batter for the fifth time in eight starts this season for his sixth win of the year in a start against Kansas State (April 9) … notched his sixth-straight quality start and did not walk a batter for the fourth time this year on his way to earning his fifth win of the season on April 2 vs. Oklahoma … allowed four hits in 6.1 innings of work on his way to his fifth quality start and fourth win of the season in his first Friday start of the season on March 25 vs. TCU … earned his third win and fourth quality start of the season (6.0 IP, 2 ER) against Tulane (March 19) … had eight strikeouts and only two walks in that win over the Green Wave … named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week after setting a career-high in strikeouts (12) in eight shutout innings on February 27 vs. Staford … earned his second win of the season and allowed only two hits with no walks in that performance against the Cardinal … struck out four, walked one, and allowed one earned run through five innings of work in his first start of the season against UNLV (Feb. 20) … earned the seventh win of his career and his first of the season in that win over the Rebels.
AS A JUNIOR (2015)
Made his first 21 appearances of the season in relief before moving into a starting role on April 18 at Kansas … 17 of his 27 outings were scoreless … tied for seventh in the Big 12 in appearances with 27 … tossed a complete game victory against Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament on May 21, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six … the nine inning performance was a career high and the six strikeouts matched his personal best … spun a personal best 8 1/3 scoreless innings before allowing the three runs on a homer in the top of the ninth … pitched six innings and matched a career high in strikeouts (six) vs. Texas Tech on May 2 while allowing four earned runs … set then career highs in innings pitched (six) and strikeouts (six) in his second career start April 25 at TCU … drew his first career start April 18 at Kansas, lasting four innings and allowing three runs (all earned) on five hits and a walk while striking out two … had made all 47 of his previous career appearances in relief … earned his fourth save of the season April 7 vs. Wichita State … picked up win number three of the year March 24 at Texas State by getting out of a jam with two runners on in the seventh inning … earned his third save of the season March 21 (game one) after entering with runners on first and second and no outs in the top of the ninth up two, and retired three straight batters to save the game … spun 1 2/3 scoreless frames with one hit allowed and three strikeouts against Stanford (March 5 & 6) … earned his second win of the season against UTPA on February 25 by throwing a scoreless ninth inning of a tie game … recorded career save number two vs. Minnesota on February 21 (game two) by tossing 2 2/3 shutout frames and striking out two while allowing just two hits and one walk … pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings in two games against Rice (Feb. 13 & 15), allowing three hits, one walk and striking out two, while recording a win and his first career save … earned the win on February 15 against Rice when he spun 2 1/3 shutout innings of relief, while surrendering three hits, one walk and striking out one … picked up his first career save when he threw a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout vs. Rice on February 13.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014)
Made 20 appearances in relief and had a 2-0 record with a 1.98 ERA … pitched 27 1/3 innings, striking out 20 and holding opponents to a .176 batting average … earned his second win of the season May 18 against Kansas State by tossing 2 2/3 of relief and allowing one earned run … pitched a career-high three innings of shutout baseball against UT Arlington on April 15 … threw 2 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball in relief agianst Rice on April 8 … pitched 2 2/3 innings, striking out one and allowing zero base runners against Kansas March 14 … set a career high in strikeouts (4) while allowing no runs and picking up his first collegiate win against Texas State on March 11 … threw four scoreless innings in the Hawai'i series (March 7-9) yielding no hits, one walk and striking out two … had four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings of work against Cal in the opening series of the season February 14-16.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
Appeared in six games as a reliever with 2 2/3 innings pitched … did not allow a run during the season … pitched one scoreless inning April 26 at Baylor with one walk … threw 2/3 of an inning with a strikeout at Minnesota … named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2012 fall semester.
